The Netgear Prosafe family of Gigabit smart switches are purposely designed for SMB customers with high performance, SMB-oriented features and easy management. With a range of Gigabit ports (16, 24 or 48) and dedicated SFP ports, these Gigabit smart switches will enable SMB networks to support Voice over IP (VoIP), streaming media, multicasting, security, and many other bandwidth-intensive applications like ERP and large file transfers.


The GS724T comes with a comprehensive set of features, such as access control lists (ACL), 802.1x port authentication, enhanced QoS, rate limiting and IGMP snooping - among others - to provide a small and medium-sized business with a network that is geared for growth while ensuring performance and reliability. In addition, this new generation of Gigabit smart switch offers many enhancements and is future-proof for future networks and new applications many years down the road, offering comprehensive support on IPv6, L2+ features such as static routing, MLD snooping, Dynamic ARP inspection and more.


An intuitive, Web-browser interface offers simple switch management, making it a snap to monitor switch performance, to configure ports, even to set up port trunks, VLANs, and traffic prioritisation. Alternatively, you can use Smart Control Center to manage multiple smart switches or use Netgear's NMS (Network Management System) to manage all your Netgerar networking products from a single interface.
